No, 4G is exclusively available on our new brand, EE. We are making it really easy for T–Mobile and Orange customers to be amongst the first to upgrade, with exclusive offers to help them move. If you have a 4G Ready device on T-Mobile, click here to find out more how to move to EE for superfast mobile internet.

4G will be rolled out in 16 major cities by the end of 2012, covering about 33% of the population and rising. Click here to see if you're covered. In order to get 4G you'll need to upgrade to EE and take out a 12 or 24–month 4GEE phone plan – other charges may apply, e.g. upfront handset costs. You'll also need to upgrade to a new phone unless your current phone is 4G Ready. 4G will not be accessible on T-Mobile or Orange plans. Customers who upgrade to EE will of course be able to keep their current number.
Remember: 4 steps to 4G.

  • 4G Ready device
  • 4G network coverage where you need it
  • 4G SIM, and
  • 4GEE phone plan with a new EE contract

Existing T-Mobile customers will be eligible to upgrade to EE if one or more of the following criteria are met:

  • You are eligible for an upgrade or an early upgrade
  • You've got a 12 months or more SIMO contract
  • You bought one of the following devices on T-Mobile less than 6 months ago: the Apple iPhone 4S, the Samsung Galaxy SIII and the HTC 1X. Here's how
  • You already have a 4G LTE ready phone on T-Mobile or Orange. Here's how

Don't worry, with Early Upgrade you can upgrade to the latest devices on EE as soon as they become available, for a discounted fee, provided you have completed at least 6 months of your contract.

You will need a new 4G Ready device to access the 4G service. Customers should not assume that similar devices from other operators will get 4G. Despite their names, the iPhone4 and iPhone4S are not 4G ready.
You need one of the following devices:

  • iPhone 5
  • Samsung Galaxy SIII LTE
  • HTC One XL
  • Huawei Ascend P1 LTE
  • Nokia Lumia 920, and
  • Nokia Lumia 820

By taking a 4G ready device on T-Mobile you will have access to the UK's biggest 3G network, and already be one step closer to 4G. But remember you won't have 4G unless you move to a 4G plan on EE.

No, only EE customers have access to 4G. It simply means that you're now using EE's new 3G network, the largest in the UK, with great data coverage.

Don't worry, you're still benefiting from full access to the EE network, just like any other T-Mobile customer. This is happening to your display because you have an older phone or SIM card that stops it from displaying the EE network correctly.
