This is effectively the wholesale arm of our business, with a mission is to maximise the return on our core asset, our network, through strategic alliances. This includes ventures with Virgin Mobile and British Telecom. They aim to provide an innovative approach to strategic partnerships.
We look for strategic thinkers with experience of large commercial environments, alliance/contract creation and the telecoms industry.
Customer Services
This department's work is key to our success, as it aims to assist and impress over 12 million customers from all over the UK. Making up more than 50% of our employees, this department includes functions such as Customer Acquisitions, Retentions and Handset Support.
We look for people from a variety of backgrounds, including customer service, sales and device support. Within our contact centres there are opportunities for flexible working arrangements.
Finance
This directorate supports everything from capital projects like the build of the 3G network to revenue improvements such as a faster customer registration process. The directorate's remit encompasses reporting and controls, capturing chargeable events and risk management.
We look for people from a variety of different backgrounds including ACA/CIMA/ACCA-qualified and part-qualified Accountants, Credit Advisors and Analysts.
HR
This forward-thinking department works in partnership with the business to look after all our people. This includes learning and development, health and safety, employee rewards and relations, and recruitment. We aim to 'grow our people' and the HR department makes that happen.
We look for people from a variety of backgrounds including HR generalists and specialists and recruitment advisors.
Information Systems
IS is responsible for designing and implementing the technology that makes possible the services and applications T-Mobile offers its employees and customers. IS works to improve the effectiveness of our existing IT systems and to implement new systems.
We look for people with knowledge of the latest technologies, analytical abilities and experience of large-scale systems.
Legal
This department provides practical and commercially innovative legal advice on issues from IP to commercial contracts. They work alongside departments to reach sound business decisions. Working in such a dynamic industry brings new challenges daily.
We look for people from a variety of backgrounds, including lawyers, with a minimum of one year's PQE, to highly organised administrators.
Marketing
This department's role is to understand our existing and prospective customers, to anticipate and fulfil their needs, to deliver compelling products and services, and to build long term relationships with them. We communicate all this along with our brand values, through advertising, direct marketing, sponsorship and interactive media.
We look for people with extensive consumer marketing understanding or from a B2B background.
Network Services
This group plans, builds and operates the network our customers use. T-Mobile invests heavily every day in our network, which covers 99% of the UK population. Having acquired UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) licences in Germany, the UK, Austria, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Poland, we are building the network to support 3G communications.
We look for people from within the industry with experience in areas such as GSM and UMTS.
Sales
Mobile telecoms is a competitive marketplace and the challenge it offers is one our sales teams have more than risen to. They come from diverse backgrounds but have one thing in common - they love selling.
We look for target-driven individuals from an FMCG or technology solutions background to work in Account Management, Business Development and Channel Marketing.
Corporate Project Office
Tracks and reports on the overall project portfolio as well as the investment management process for initiating new projects.
Programme Delivery team
Provides project and programme management expertise and leads corporate projects.
The Process Development team
Offers expertise to improve key corporate processes.
When recruiting for this team we look for people with mixed, cross-functional project management experience and a strong commercial delivery focus.
