Amy: Intern (Change Management) - Hatfield

What skills do you use the most?
I think one of the important skills that people need is to be a good listener and to pay close attention to detail so that they understand what the actual change is - seeing how it will impact on the business - then they can go through communicating to the necessary audiences what those changes are. I think also you need to be able to communicate very well.
What's the atmosphere like at T-Mobile?
I think the atmosphere here is quite bubbly - everyone's willing to say hello to each other, everyone's smiling all the time and I think everyone feels like they're a team, even if they don't work in the same department. I think within the teams, they are extremely close.
I mean, definitely for my team - we go out for lunches together, we organise evenings out, we have a book club. So it's really just a close team and when there are birthdays we make sure we celebrate together or organise something.
What's the best thing about the people you work with?
I think because we've got so many different personalities but they all still really fit well together and the fact that they can all be really good at what they do and be so different is a real big plus.
Where do you see yourself in three years time?
Actually thanks to this placement I'm considering going through the change management career which wasn't what I was going to do in the first place so I'm going to finish my final year of university and then hopefully I'll get into a graduate scheme in consulting to actually pursue a career in change management.
Why work for T-Mobile?
From my experience I would recommend here because of the environment. That would be my first thing. It is a fun place to work, it is about the people, it's about the brand, it's about being bubbly and it's about keeping things simple. It's everything that it really states and I think that draws people to be how they want to be.
