In areas where high quality outdoor coverage is indicated, it is usually possible to make and receive calls within buildings. However, this is dependent on the construction of the building. Please also note that the service areas are based on computer prediction. All products using radio technology, including Television and car radios, can be affected by local physical conditions which may interfere with radio signals. As with other mobile phone services, T-Mobile can be affected in tunnels, dips, cuttings and wooded areas. In some cases, use of your T-Mobile phone will be impaired inside buildings. Therefore, even in high quality service areas, additional sites might be planned to improve the level of in-building coverage in known problem areas.

- 1 bar - Your phone should work in limited outdoor areas, indoors is unlikely.
- 2 bars - Your phone should work outdoors and indoors with limits.
- 3 bars - Your phone should work outdoors in most areas, variable coverage indoors.
- 4 bars - Your phone should work outdoors and in most houses, variable in other buildings.
- 5 bars - Your phone should work outdoors, in most houses and in commercial buildings.
