Is your phone ready to go?
Before you go away, check you've done the following:
- 1. Enabled your phone by calling Customer Services
- To set up your mobile for use abroad call Customer Services on 150 (remember when you are abroad you cannot access Customer Services via 150 you must dial +44 7953 966 150). You can either speak to one of our advisers or use the IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system. If you use the IVR, select option 5>2. Please note that some pay monthly customers may be required to pay a deposit before roaming can be enabled.
- 2. Topped up
- If you're a pay as you go customer it's a good idea to top up before you go.

Then you don't have to pay to listen to your messages while you're abroad.
Set up your phone - 4. Bought a bundle
- Bundles make the cost of your calls or texts from abroad even cheaper.
Ways to save - If you want to retrieve your voicemail while abroad you'll need to use a voicemail PIN number. To set up a PIN number, call your voicemail from your mobile before you leave, press 2 then 1 and follow the instructions.
- 5. Pack your charger
- Don't forget your mobile's charger and any power adapter you might need.
