  3. What special equipment or software do I need?

Connecting using a data card: Your laptop will need a PC card slot. Most laptops purchased before 2006 will have one. Some newer laptops may have an ExpressCard slot which the data card will not fit. Double check the manual your laptop came with to make sure.

You will also need to install T-Mobile Communications Centre (TMCC) software to run web'n'walk which you will have received with the data card and installation instructions.

Connecting using a mobile phone: How you connect varies from phone to phone. In most cases, you'll need to install some software which will be in with your new phone and connect your mobile to the laptop using a cable.

Please note: Not all mobiles are suitable for connecting laptops to the internet.

  4. What is HSDPA?

HSDPA makes the 3G network faster so you can download files and surf the internet at higher speeds. It covers all of T-Mobile's 3G network. Your connection will run at HSDPA speeds if you are using the silver data card or an HSDPA phone and you're in a 3G coverage area.

  10. Does the T-Mobile Communication Centre run on tablet PCs?
