- Will I get the £1 capped daily rate if I use the internet on my phone?
You'll get the Day Pass capped at £1 automatically if you are:
- a pay as you go customer on Everyone, Mates Rates or Text Appeal
- a U-Fix customer
- a pay monthly customer who joined T-Mobile after 1 December 2006
If you're a pay monthly customer who joined before 1 December 2006, call customer services on 150 and ask to opt in to the Day Pass.
To get the capped rate, you'll also need to have a web'n'walk compatible phone. Check by looking for a web'n'walk icon in your phone's menu, or at the bottom of your screen. You can also check using our phone finder tool.
Keep in mind that if you use the internet on your phone regularly, you'll save money if you add a monthly option to your plan and pay £7.50 per month for unlimited use. Find out how to add the web'n'walk monthly option to your plan
- Can I use my mobile to connect my laptop to the internet?
You can if you've signed up for web'n'walk Plus or Max. It's not an option if you've got the regular version where you pay an extra £7.50 per month on top of your mobile plan.
How you connect varies from phone to phone. In most cases, you'll need to install some software which will be in with your new phone and connect your mobile to the laptop using a cable.
Please note: Not all mobiles are suitable for connecting laptops to the internet.
If you'd like to change your plan so you can use your phone as a modem, call Customer Services on 150. You can get web'n'walk Plus for £12.50 per month on top of your standard plan, or web'n'walk Max for £22.50 per month.
- How do I check my email?
There are three different ways to access your email on your phone:
- Internet email - Simply open up web'n'walk and browse to your internet-based email account, for example, Hotmail or Gmail, and access your email like you do normally.
- Check email (also called 'pull email') - This is when you set up your phone so it checks your email as often as you tell it to. You can do this with most email accounts (including POP3 and IMAP4) but unfortunately it's not available to Hotmail users. Find out more about setting up check email.
- Instant email (also called 'push email') - This is when emails simply appear on your mobile - you don't need to set anything up or dial in. If you have a Blackberry you can get instant email from £10 per month. Find out more about instant email.

When you open up the internet on your mobile, you'll be taken to T-Mobile Favourites which lists useful quick links including:
- Direct access to Google
- Featured links to frequently used internet sites
- Special offers, deals or events from T-Mobile
- A link to common questions to get you started
- Can I use web'n'walk to go to any internet site?
Some websites contain large graphics or pop ups which are not supported by the browsers and screen sizes of these devices. And if you have Content Lock applied, you'll be restricted from viewing 18-rated sites. More on Content Lock.
- Why do some websites take longer to load than others?
The time it takes a page to load depends largely on how image-intensive it is. Pages containing lots of pictures load more slowly than those with mainly text.
