How much it will cost me?

  • Each chatroom message you send costs 10p.
  • Each message you receive costs 5p.
  • There are no charges for setting up or administering either service (for example, sending join).
  • This will not be deducted from any text allowances

Stay safe

  • Text chat uses nicknames so no-one sees your personal details. Never give out your name, address, phone number, description to someone you've met on the service.
  • The Powerchat service will not allow you to enter your age, phone number or email address, and it is monitored/filtered for unsuitable language. For more information see http://monitoring.jumbuck.com.
  • If you arrange to meet someone, choose a busy public place, tell someone about the meeting or take a friend along.
  • If you feel threatened in any way, leave the service by sending RESIGN to 2428 or 2430 (this will delete your saved groups and contacts).
