Transferring your number (Porting)
Thankfully, switching networks doesn't mean you need to change your mobile number. Here's what to do if you want to take your number with you, free of charge.
- What is my PAC for?
Your Porting Authorisation Code is needed to port your number from your current network. It basically gives you permission to leave and allows us to transfer your number to our network. Once your PAC is issued it's only valid for 30 days, after which if you haven't contacted us within this time, the code will expire and your mobile number will remain on your current network.
- Can I transfer (port) my number if it's on a pay as you go plan?
Yes, you can, as long as the number is still connected to the network.
- Can I withdraw my request to transfer (port) my number?
Once you have requested to port your number and your PAC has been entered into the system, the port will take place on the specified date.
- How long will the port take?
The number you wish to port will be transferred to our network within 2 working days from the date of initial request.
- I wish to transfer my existing number to T-Mobile, what should I do?
First, check out our latest offers then once you have purchased you new phone and plan, simply contact your current network and obtain your PAC.
- Can I transfer more than one number to T-Mobile?
Yes you can, simply include your other numbers when requesting your PAC code from your current network.
- I wish to leave T- Mobile, how do I get a PAC from T-Mobile?
Sorry to hear that you're thinking of leaving us. We are always keen to hear your feedback for wanting to leave us, so simply call our specialised team on 0845 412 5000, or 150 if calling from your T-Mobile phone between 8:30am - 10:00pm Monday - Sunday
