What will 500MB of data allow me to do?
With 500MB of data you could do one of the following (roughly):
- Send 500,000 emails without attachments
- Send 1000 emails with photo attachments
- 5000 visits to simple sites like Twitter or blogs
- 1500 visits to rich content sites like bbc.co.uk, guardian.co.uk and so on
- Download 50 low quality or 12 high quality tunes
- Watch 60 views of 4.5 minute YouTube™ videos
Apps also use your data allowance when you download them, and some connect to the internet each time you use them.
The legal stuff you need to know about data use
Internet on your phone comes with a fair use policy amount of either 500MB, 750MB or 1GB a month, depending on the plan you choose. We'll monitor how much you send and receive each calendar month so that we can protect our network for all our customers.
If you use more than your fair use policy amount, we won't charge you any more, but we may restrict how you can use your internet, depending on how often you go over your amount and by how much.
Flexible Boosters are what you need to build the perfect package to suit your needs. Choose from more texts, more minutes, internet on your phone or using your phone abroad - it's up to you.
If things change for you, you can change your Flexible Booster every 30 days if you like. Simple.
