T-Mobile pay as you go (for customers joining from 2 April 2012)

When you join T-Mobile pay as you go you'll automatically join our Everyday plan. You can either stay on Everyday or join one of our other 4 plans: Talk, Text, BlackBerry or International.

Customers on our Talk, Text or International plans who successfully top-up £10 in a calendar month will get free minutes or texts the following month. Customers with a BlackBerry phone and who are on our BlackBerry plan will get free BlackBerry services the following month when they top up £10. On all our plans, if you successfully top up an additional £5, spending £15 in one calendar month, you'll also get a total allowance of 500MB internet on your phone (as described below)

We'll send you a text to let you know you've earned the free minutes, texts, internet on your phone or BlackBerry services. All this free stuff will be added to your account at one minute in the morning on the first day of the next month. So, as long as you stay a member of the plan throughout the month, you'll have your free minutes, texts, internet on your phone or BlackBerry services to use in the UK the following month.

When you top up £10 and you're on our BlackBerry plan, you'll get our BlackBerry services. Your BlackBerry services include BlackBerry email and BBM. You'll also get 50MB of internet on your phone (as described below). To be clear, if you top up £15 you'll only get the total internet allowance of 500MB of internet (as described above). On our Talk plan you'll get 100 free UK minutes (as described below). On our Text plan you'll get free unlimited UK texts (as described below) and on our International plan you'll get 70 free international minutes to call mobiles and landlines in the following countries from the UK:

ARGENTINA, AUSTRALIA, AUSTRIA, BANGLADESH, BELGIUM, BRAZIL, CANADA, CHINA, COLOMBIA, CROATIA, CYPRUS, CZECH REPUBLIC, DENMARK, EGYPT, FINLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, GREECE, GUERNSEY, HONG KONG, HUNGARY, INDIA, INDONESIA, IRELAND, ISRAEL, ITALY, JAPAN, JERSEY, KENYA, KOREA (REPUBLIC OF), LUXEMBOURG, MALAYSIA, MAURITIUS, NETHERLANDS, NEW ZEALAND, NIGERIA, NORWAY, PHILIPPINES, POLAND, PORTUGAL, ROMANIA, RUSSIAN FEDERATION, SAUDI ARABIA,SINGAPORE, SLOVAKIA, SPAIN, SRI LANKA, SWEDEN, SWITZERLAND, TAIWAN (PROVINCE OF CHINA), THAILAND, TURKEY, UGANDA, UNITED STATES.

In addition to these countries listed above you can also call landlines in the following countries from the UK: BARBADOS, BULGARIA, ESTONIA, JAMAICA, LATVIA, LITHUANIA, SOUTH AFRICA and TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO.

On our Talk and International plans, you'll need to use your free minutes during that month, or lose them.

In addition to those free minutes, customers on our International Plan can call or text people in the countries on our International Pass from the UK at discounted rates at all times. See t-mobile.co.uk/int for a full list of the countries in the Pass and the costs of calling them.

The very first time you top up £10 in one go, if you're on or move that month to our Talk, Text or BlackBerry plans we'll also give you some extra stuff to use straight away. On our Talk plan, we'll give you 25 UK minutes (as described below) to use during the rest of that calendar month; on our Text plan we'll give you 100 free UK texts (as described below) to use during the rest of that calendar month and on our BlackBerry plan you'll get the free BlackBerry services (as described above) to use straightaway. Remember, we'll only give you this free stuff once. If you made your very first top up on our International plan, you won't get anything extra straight away.

If you change plans while using the free minutes, texts or BlackBerry services earned, you'll lose any unused free allowance. If you have topped up £15 in a month, providing you do not move to the Everyday plan, you'll still get your free 500MB internet on your phone the following month but you will not keep the free minutes, texts and BlackBerry services earned when you topped up £10. And remember, on our International plan you can't buy any of our international calling or texting Boosters.

If you're a new or upgrading customer buying a pay as you go Android phone, you'll get 30 days free UK internet, with a fair use policy of 500MB. Just text 'FREE MONTH WEB' free to '441'.

To use internet on your phone, you'll need a compatible phone and internet coverage, check it at t-mobile.co.uk/streetcheck. Remember if you get free internet on your phone, you can only use internet on your phone in the UK. You can't use your phone as a modem or use internet on your phone for peer to peer file sharing, instant messaging or making internet phone calls.

Please remember that we'll monitor how much you send and receive each calendar month so that we can protect our network for all our customers. If you use more than your fair use policy amount, we won't charge you any more, but we may restrict how you can use internet on your phone.

If you don't get a free allowance of internet on your phone (or you haven't bought an internet booster) and try to use internet on your phone you'll be charged a maximum of £1 day. You'll have a fair use policy of 500MB a month.

We'd also like to remind you that your terms and conditions say that you mustn't use our services to do anything unlawful or to send nuisance communications. At the moment, we'll decide that you're breaking this condition if you text more than 300 different numbers over the course of the month with your free unlimited texts. Remember, we're free to decide that other types of use may also be breaking this condition. If you do break this condition, we'll disconnect your SIM card from our network without giving you any advance warning.

If you use, whether directly or through a third party, any device to route or re-route voice, text messages or other services on, from or to the network or you sell or attempt to sell or otherwise provide commercial services using our network to any third party, we'll remove your free minutes or texts from you and/or disconnect your SIM card from our network without giving you any advance warning.

International Pass

If you are a pay as you go customer, to get great rates when phoning abroad from the UK, all you need to do is text INT to 441 to opt in.  We'll send you a text to let you know when it has worked.

You can then make calls and send texts from the UK to mobile and landline (excluding calls to non geographic and premium rate numbers) numbers in the 65 countries listed in the table at reduced rates.

We can remove this offer from your account in the future, but we'll tell you by text message before we do.

Our usual one minute minimum call charges will apply.

If you're a pay as you go customer on Everyday, Talk, Text or International, text 30 DAY TEXT to 441 to get a Booster giving you 300 texts from the UK to the customers of the other UK mobile networks and to numbers starting with 01, 02 or 03 (excluding Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man). You'll need to have enough top-up credit on your account as the cost of the Booster comes out of your credit.

Your Booster will be ready to use as soon as you've bought it, but we'll send you a text to let you know when it is ready to use. You then have 30 days to use your Booster, or lose it. We'll let you know when your 30 days is up. We'll also remind you 5 days before your Booster is due to expire.

200 minutes to T-Mobile customers lasting for 30 days

Internet on your phone

£1 a day:

If you are a pay as you go customer who doesn't have internet on your phone included in your plan or added to your account as a booster, a day pass costs up to £1 a day. We'll automatically charge 0.73p per KB each day (midnight to midnight) when you use internet on your phone until you hit £1 a day and then we won't charge you any more.

You'll need an internet capable phone and internet coverage, check it at t-mobile.co.uk/streetcheck. Remember that you can only use internet on your phone in the UK and you can't use your phone as a modem or use internet on your phone for peer to peer file sharing or making internet phone calls.

If you're on our Talk, Text, International or Everyday plans, you'll have a fair use policy of 500MB a calendar month. If you're on any other pay as you go plan, you'll have a fair use policy of 40MB a day. We'll monitor how much you send and receive each calendar month so that we can protect our network for all our customers. If you use more than your fair use policy amount, we won't charge you any more, but we may restrict how you can use internet on your phone.

5 Day Booster:

If you're a pay as you go customer with an internet capable phone, you can text WEB to 441 to buy our 5 day booster giving you 5 days internet browsing on your phone. You'll need to have enough top-up credit on your account as the cost of the Booster comes out of your credit.

We'll send you a text to let you know when your booster is ready to use and you have 5 days to use it. We'll let you know when it has run out.

Once your booster has run out you'll then be charged up to £1 a day to browse the internet or you can buy another booster. See the legal stuff and fair use policy at www.t-mobile.co.uk/fup.

We'll send you a text to let you know when your booster is ready to use and your Booster will start from then. We'll also let you know by a text when your 30 days internet is up.

We'll send you a text to let you know when your booster is ready to use and your Booster will start from then. We'll also let you know by a text when your 6 months internet is up.

Pay as you go upgrades

If you've been a T-Mobile pay as you go customer for at least 3 months or you last upgraded your pay as you go phone with us 3 months ago, and have spent some credit on a call or sent a text at least once in the past 3 months, you will be eligible for a discount on a selected range of new pay as you go phones. You can only get this discount direct from our stores, our online shop or our telesales team. The amount of discount will depend on the phone you choose and the discount will be taken off the cost of your phone at purchase.

Just to be clear, this won't affect your statutory rights to return a handset under the Distance Selling Regulations.

The discounts available on our range of selected pay as you go phones will vary from time to time.
